Wishi Co., Eat Street, Whittier

We're a founder-led studio in Lakeville, 25 miles down I-35W, and our Minneapolis work is live on Eat Street. It's a real site on a real block, and you can open it right now. There are no account managers in between: the person who scopes your site is the person who builds it.

Neighborhood first, city second

Think about how you'd look for brunch in Northeast, a barber in the North Loop or a gift shop near Lake Street. A site that only says “Minneapolis” is up against the whole city. A site that names its neighborhood, its cross streets and its specialties is up against the handful of places that actually fit the search. Two corridors show how differently that plays out:

  • Nicollet Mall. A twelve-block pedestrian and transit mall through downtown, rebuilt and reopened in November 2017. The people looking you up are already on foot downtown, so today's hours, the cross street and a menu or price list that loads fast count for more than parking.
  • Lake Street. A major east–west corridor across south Minneapolis that borders more than a dozen neighborhoods, Whittier among them, with the Midtown Global Market at Chicago Avenue. The street alone covers a lot of ground, so a Lake Street business should lead with its cross street and neighborhood.

What we built on Eat Street

Eat Street is a 17-block run of Nicollet Avenue, packed with restaurants, that the Whittier Alliance named in 1997. Wishi Co., a brunch café and zero-proof bar in Whittier, sits on that stretch, and before we started, wishico.com was a parked “Coming Soon” page. The first version of their site was up in two days, and it moved onto their own domain on August 6, 2026.

  • Seven intent-first local pages: the sober bar, matcha, Vietnamese coffee, matcha French toast, brunch on Eat Street, bò né, and a café-in-Whittier page for people searching the neighborhood.
  • A menu of about 73 priced items kept in one place, with dish names exactly as the owner prints them, so a single price change updates every page that shows it.
  • A day/night look that follows the visitor's local time, a DoorDash ordering link and a gallery of the café's own photos.

When the owner sent new printed menus on September 17, 2026, the updated prices were live on the site that day.

Minneapolis web design at a neighborhood price

The Minneapolis studios in our website cost guide publish small-site starting prices in the thousands of dollars. Ours start at $500 with a care plan from $75/mo and no long-term contract. Wishi Co.'s site is custom-coded with no page builder underneath, like every site we build. The first thing you'll see from us is a free preview of your own homepage, made for your block and what you sell. See your site first, or look at our restaurant website design work.

Questions Minneapolis owners ask

What does website design in Minneapolis cost with you?

Websites for small local businesses start at $500. The monthly care plan starts at $75/mo and handles hosting, security, updates and two content edits, whether that's a new menu or new hours. The homepage preview comes first and costs nothing; you pay only once you want the site. Bigger builds, like e-commerce or several locations, get priced on a short call, and everything is laid out on our pricing page.

You're based in Lakeville. Does that matter for a Minneapolis business?

Not for the work, and our Minneapolis client shows it: the café is on Eat Street and we're in Lakeville. It's about 35 minutes outside rush hour, so meeting in person is easy to arrange, and the rest happens over text and email.

Can you build a page for every neighborhood we serve?

Only where a neighborhood page has something real to say: a dish, a service or a location people search for by name. Wishi Co.'s seven local pages work that way, each answering a search the café can actually serve, such as matcha, bò né or a café in Whittier, rather than one thin page per neighborhood.

Our menu changes all the time. How do updates work?

Two content edits a month come with your care plan; past that, edits are $30 apiece. Text or email us the new menu and we make the change. On Wishi Co.'s site the menu lives in one place, so a new price shows up everywhere that dish appears.

Do you only build for restaurants?

No. Our Minneapolis client happens to be a café, but we also build for barbershops and salons, shops, contractors and auto repair. All four live client sites are one click away if you want to judge the work first.
