Online ordering for restaurants, paid into your own Square.
Guests order pickup on your website and pay with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The money goes straight to your Square account, and the order lands in your Square with the rest. No commission on your orders. From $79/mo as an add-on to your care plan.
Online ordering starts at $79/mo
The order should start on your own site
Your website is where people already check the menu and today's hours. When it's also where they order, the look, the menu and the guest list stay with your restaurant. If you ring up on Square, the order should end up where every other order does: in your Square, paid into your account.

A menu kept in two places
A menu kept in two places
When prices live in Square and again on the website, one of them is always a step behind. The guest who orders yesterday's price, or the dish that ran out at noon, ends up at the counter asking why.
b.
A rush with no brake
A rush with no brake
On a slammed Friday the kitchen needs to add time to pickups, or stop online orders for half an hour, without calling anyone or logging into anything.

Regulars you can't name

If you don't know who ordered, you can't thank them, reward the ones who keep coming back or invite them to try the new menu.
What Gramberg Ordering includes
01
Your menu, synced from Square
Your menu, synced from Square
Items, options, prices, taxes and sold-out flags come from your Square item library. Change a price or mark a dish sold out in Square, and the online menu follows on its own, with an hourly check behind it. Nothing gets typed in twice.
02
ASAP and scheduled pickup
ASAP and scheduled pickup
Guests choose as soon as possible or a later pickup time inside your hours, and ready times follow your own prep time. If a price changes while someone is checking out, they see the new total before they pay.
03
Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay
Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay
The card fields at checkout are Square's own, so card details never reach us or your website. Guests can add a tip. Nothing else is added to their total: no service charge and no order fee.

Remember me, order again and goes well with
Remember me, order again and goes well with
Guests can keep their name and number on their own phone for next time. Their last order shows on the menu with one tap to order it again, checked against today's menu, and the cart suggests up to three of your popular items they haven't added yet.
05
A ready alert and a home-screen app
A ready alert and a home-screen app
Guests watch their order go from received to preparing to ready, and can turn on a notification for the moment you mark it ready. They can also add your restaurant to their home screen with your own icon, so the menu opens even with no signal. There's no app store involved.
06
Promo codes and loyalty rewards
Promo codes and loyalty rewards
Codes for a percent or a dollar amount off, with start and end dates, a minimum order, a use limit and a once-per-guest rule. Loyalty earns points on each paid order and issues a reward code when a guest reaches the line you set. Codes reach Square as discounts, so the tax is figured after them.
07
A guest list with marketing opt-in
A guest list with marketing opt-in
Every paid order adds the guest to your list with their name, phone, email and order history. The marketing opt-in box at checkout starts unticked, and each yes is saved with the exact words the guest agreed to and the date.

A staff page for pause, busy mode and sold out today
A staff page for pause, busy mode and sold out today
A page for the counter phone or tablet, opened from a private link. Pause online orders with a reason guests can read and a time to turn back on, add 10, 20 or 30 minutes to pickups in busy mode, mark an item sold out until tomorrow morning, and move each order from started to ready to picked up.
One order, from the menu to the counter.
A pickup order seen from both sides of the counter. This one is for Juniper Table, a made-up café, and so is the live demo.
- Guest, on your siteAdds a house latte and the avocado toast. The cart suggests the breakfast burrito, and they choose pickup as soon as possible.
- PaidApple Pay, for the menu price, the tax and the tip they chose, paid into the café's own Square account.
- In SquareA paid pickup order for Sam, marked Online ordering, with a ready time from the café's prep time.
- Staff pageThe line is out the door, so busy mode adds 10 minutes to new pickup times for the next hour.
- ReadyThe order is marked ready, and Sam's phone shows “Juniper Table: your order is ready.”
- Guest listSam's order count goes up by one, and the points move toward the next reward.
The live demo is the real ordering page, on a sample café.
Juniper Table is fictional, with sample dishes and stand-in pictures. Add an item with options, try a promo code, pay with the demo card and watch the order go to ready. Nothing is charged and no order is sent.

We look at your Square
We go over what you ring up on, how your menu is set up in Square and the hours you want to take pickup orders. If ordering isn't a good fit for your restaurant, we say so on the call.
You connect your Square
You approve the connection from your own Square login, the way any app is connected to Square. You keep your Square, your menu stays in Square, and we connect it. We never see your password.
We check the menu and test an order
We go through the items, options and taxes as they come over from Square, set up Apple Pay on your domain, then place a test order and check it on your own register, kitchen display or printer.
The Order button goes live
Ordering switches on behind your site's Order button and the staff page goes on your counter device. From then on, menu changes happen in Square, as they always have, and every order stays in step with Square.

An add-on to a website care plan (care plans from $97/mo), plus a one-time setup we price on the call. No commission and no per-order charge from us; Square's normal card processing applies. Month-to-month.
Online ordering questions owners ask
Do I need Square?
Yes, today. Gramberg Ordering reads your menu from Square and makes each payment in your Square account, so it works for restaurants and cafés that ring up on Square. It runs on Square's free plan, so there's no extra Square plan to buy.
Who holds the money?
Your Square account. Every payment is made in your Square and paid out on your usual Square schedule. We never hold your money and never take a share of it, and refunds, disputes and payouts stay in your Square dashboard, where you already handle them.
Is there a fee per order?
Not from us. There's no commission and no per-order charge from Gramberg Media, only the monthly add-on, and nothing is added to your guests' totals. Square's normal card processing applies to each payment, the same as any card order you take.
Do you offer delivery?
Pickup today. Guests order ahead and collect at the counter, as soon as possible or at a time they choose. If you use a delivery app, its button can sit beside your own Order button on your restaurant website.
What if I'm on another system?
Talk to us. Our own ordering runs on Square today. On another system, the site we build sends your Order button to the ordering you already have. If your orders need to reach another system as well, that's an API integration we scope on a call.
Can I pause orders on a busy night?
Yes. The staff page pauses online orders with a reason guests can read, like the kitchen being slammed, and turns them back on by itself after the time you pick. Busy mode is the softer option: it adds 10, 20 or 30 minutes to pickup times instead of stopping orders.
Am I locked in?
No. It's month-to-month, and you can disconnect us from your Square dashboard at any time. Your Square account, your menu and your money aren't touched. Before you decide, you can try the live demo (opens in a new tab), a made-up café where nothing is charged and no order is sent.
See it with your own menu.
Book a free 30-minute call. We look at how your menu is set up in Square, walk through the demo and tell you what setup involves and what it costs.
